Founded in 1922, Filey Brigg Angling Society has proudly served the angling community for over 100 years. Rooted in the beautiful seaside town of Filey, North Yorkshire, our society has grown to become one of the largest and most respected angling clubs in the North East of England.
Our mission
We are dedicated to promoting the sport of angling through friendship, competition, education, and conservation. Whether you’re an experienced sea angler or new to the sport, we welcome all who share a passion for fishing and the great outdoors.
What our angling club offer
- Regular Competitions: From shore-based matches to boat fishing events, we run a full calendar of competitive angling throughout the year.
- Junior Support: We’re committed to nurturing the next generation of anglers. That’s why we offer junior membership for only £2 per year and encourage young anglers to get involved.
- Community & Social Events: Beyond fishing, we host various social events, fostering a friendly and supportive environment for all members.
- Sustainable Fishing: We advocate for responsible fishing practices and work to preserve our local marine environment for future generations.
